September Update on Panama City Beach CRA Segment 3

Panama City Beach, FL.– The City’s contractor continues work on Segment 3 of the Front Beach Road Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), which runs from the intersection of State Road 79 (Arnold Road) and Panama City Beach Parkway south to Front Beach Road, also including Front Beach Road from Cabana Cay Boulevard east to Lullwater Drive. Work on this segment is near 60 percent complete.

Contractor is performing open site excavation in order to install a new water main on South Arnold Road.

The crew installed utility conduits and a 12-inch PVC water main at the EXXON gas station on South Arnold Road. The driveway to the EXXON gas station has since been restored.

Overhead Florida Power and Light (FPL) power distribution lines have been temporarily relocated in order to eliminate conflict with the sheet piling installation at the box culvert from Lullwater Lake. This installation is expected to begin after telecommunications facilities are moved, in late fall 2023.

The Contractor is also continuing to improve the north side of Front Beach Road between the roundabout and Lullwater Drive, installing storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and new water mains.
