PANAMA CITY, Fla. — The City of Panama City is adjusting garbage and debris collection ahead of Hurricane Isaias so crews can complete service before weather conditions worsen.

Friday, October 9, collection will begin at:

  • 4 a.m. for residential garbage

  • 3 a.m. for commercial garbage

Residents should place blue garbage carts at the curb tonight, Thursday, October 8, to be ready for early pickup.

Claw trucks will collect yard debris and bulky items Thursday and for half the day Friday.

After collection, move garbage carts from the roadside to a secure location. Residents should also secure loose items that could become airborne or block storm drains.

The city encourages residents to use these collection opportunities and finish storm preparations as soon as possible.
