Empowering Women: Unveiling Financial Wisdom at FSU PC

PANEL TO SHARE SECRETS OF FINANCIALLY SAVVY WOMEN 
Free event is part of college’s ongoing Illumination series

PANAMA CITY, FL — Florida State University Panama City will present a panel featuring five “Financially Savvy Women” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, in the Holley Academic Center’s St. Joe Community Foundation Lecture Hall, 4750 Collegiate Drive, Panama City.

The group of successful female financial professionals will discuss finance issues that are most important to women; ways women approach their personal finances differently; and how female financial professionals can help other women become financially savvy.

The panel will include Deb Minnick of Capital Wealth Advisors; Bre Gatlin of JPMorgan Chase; Kelly Bonner of Wells Fargo Advisors; and Jennifer Fensley of CapSouth Wealth Management. The program will be facilitated by Diana Simpson, Ph.D., MBA, CFP, a member of the Financial Planning teaching faculty at FSU PC.

A light meal will be provided. There is no cost to attend.

The program is part of the ongoing Illumination Event Series at FSU PC, part of the university’s commitment to providing a comprehensive calendar of events, workshops and forums throughout the year that encourage the community to engage in meaningful conversations and educational experiences. The series provides opportunities to hear and learn from unique

  •  Leadership Strategies TEDx: 2-3:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, in the in the Holley Center, featuring speakers Terri Hoskins, vice president of leadership at the St. Joe Co.; Donna Pilson, executive director of Rebuild Bay County; Sharon Michalik, director of communications for Bay District Schools; Mark Sheldon, mayor of Panama City Beach; and Irvin Clark, Ed.D., associate dean for student & strategic initiatives at FSU PC.
  • Entrepreneurship Lunch & Learn: noon to 1 p.m. on Feb. 28, in the Holley Lecture Hall, featuring speaker Will Owen, founder and president of JetBoatPilot.
