Possible Assistance for Bay County Wildfire and Tornado Victims

Beginning Monday, March 14, victims of the fires in Bay County and the tornado that struck Callaway on Wednesday may visit Rebuild Bay County Inc‘s Community Recovery Center at 819 E. 11th St., Panama City to determine if they are eligible for assistance. Funding is available through several state programs, and more than $25,000 in donations has been collected so far to assist with expenses such as hotel reimbursement or smoke damage to your home. Non-governmental charitable organizations will also be set up at the CRC to provide additional help.

At this time, no additional physical donations are needed, but anyone who wishes to donate to victims may make a monetary gift at www.rebuildbaycounty.org.

The CRC will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at A.D. Harris Learning Center, located at 819 E. 11th St., Panama City. Or, call the CRC beginning Monday at (850) 319-1298.
