Cigarette butts are the most frequently littered item in America. Cigarette Filters are made of plastic which stays in the environment. Keep America Beautiful Cigarette Litter Prevention Program has reduced cigarette butt litter an average of fifty percent. Cigarette butts are thirty-two percent of all littered items collected and thirty percent of smokers admit to littering in the last thirty days because of a lack of receptacle. Keep PCB Beautiful and Florida Dept. of Transportation ask that you keep our paradise litter-free.

Did you know that litter clean-up costs the US an estimated 11 and a half billion dollars each year? Keep PCB Beautiful volunteers saved Panama City Beach 165,000 last year. The top ten collected items: cigarette butts, food wrappers, plastic bottles and caps, straws and other plastic bags, grocery bags, glass bottles, beverage cans, cups, and plastic utensils. Keep PCB Beautiful and the Florida Dept. of Transportation ask that you keep our paradise litter-free.
