PCB Launches Banner Program for Beach Graduates!

Panama City Beach Launches Graduation Banner Program for Beach High School Seniors

Panama City beach, FL– The City of Panama City Beach is proud to launch a new banner program honoring high school graduates from the beach.

We invite parents, grandparents and friends to honor their graduating seniors with a banner which will be displayed on light poles on major roadways within the Front Beach Road Community Redevelopment Area.

Banners are $100 each and will be returned to the purchaser when taken down after graduation next May. We have approximately 240 banner slots available which will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

Banners will be displayed on:

  • Richard Jackson Boulevard
  • Front Beach Road
  • Powell Adams Road
  • South Thomas Drive
  • Churchwell Drive

“This is something we have been talking about doing for some time now,” said PCB Mayor Mark Sheldon. “High school graduation is a significant milestone in the lives of our young people as they move into adulthood. Graduating high school is a major accomplishment that requires dedication, perseverance and hard work. Our beach students have spent years working toward this goal and it is only fitting that the City recognize them and celebrate their success.”

The program will operate similar to the Veteran Hero banner program. Those wishing to purchase a banner should fill out the Class of 2024 application form and submit a senior photo. The photo can be cap and gown, in sports uniform or any professional senior portrait. Digital photos are preferred. The application should include a check or cash payment. All checks should be made out to the City of Panama City Beach and either dropped off or mailed to City Hall, 17007 Panama City Beach Parkway, PCB, FL 32413. Forms and photos can be emailed to Communications Director Debbie Ingram at debbie.ingram@pcbfl.gov.

The graduation banner program is open to any graduating high school senior who lives or attends school on the beach. This includes Arnold High School students, home schooled students, and beach students attending another school.

There are three styles of banners, so purchasers will need to indicate the style they prefer. While the examples are branded for Arnold High School, they will be altered to reflect attendance at other schools, utilizing school colors and logos.

Banners will start going up after the Christmas decorations come down in January. For questions, call (850) 233-5100, Ext. 2261.
