Hybrid Public Meeting: U.S. 231 at C.R. 2315

U.S. 231 (State Road 75) at County Road 2315 (Star Avenue)/Titus Road Intersection Improvements Project

Chipley, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a hybrid public meeting for the U.S. 231 at Star Avenue/Titus Road intersection improvements project in Bay County on Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (CDT).

Citizens are encouraged to attend the virtual meeting at www.nwflroads.com/virtualmeetings. Those who are unable to participate virtually may attend the meeting in-person at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Parish Hall, 5622
Julie Drive, Panama City. Pre-registration is required for the virtual format and encouraged for in-person attendees. The same materials will be presented for each format.

The intent of this project is to improve the operation and safety of the U.S. 231 at Star Avenue/Titus Road intersection. Star Avenue and Titus Road will both be realigned to the south creating a single intersection operated by a traffic signal. The existing connection and railroad crossing at Star Avenue and U.S. 231 will be removed. John Pitts Road will be redirected to a roundabout intersecting with the new Star Avenue alignment. This project is funded for right-of-way and construction. Bids for construction are scheduled to occur winter 2024.

This proposed intersection improvements project will accommodate the future U.S. 231 six-lane widening.

Maps, drawings, and other information will be on display. FDOT representatives will be available to discuss proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments.

This meeting is being held without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status.
