Governor Announces Appointments in Sarasota and Holmes Counties

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Thomas DeSane to the Sarasota County Charter Review Board and Howard “Rusty” Williams as Holmes County Supervisor of Elections.

Thomas DeSane

DeSane is a Security Supervisor for CoolToday Park. He currently serves as a member of the Blue Line Club and was a delegate to the National Conference of Law Enforcement Emerald Societies. DeSane earned his bachelor’s degree from Long Island University.

Howard “Rusty” Williams

Williams, of Bonifay, is a Permits Manager for the Florida Department of Transportation. He was previously elected as a Holmes County School Board Member and is the former President of the Bonifay Kiwanis Club. Williams attended Chipola College.

“I am pleased to appoint Thomas and Rusty to serve the people of Sarasota and Holmes Counties,” said Governor DeSantis. “Their experience and dedication will greatly benefit their communities.”
