Segment 1: What is the Veterans Business Outreach Center?

John Miller, the Business Consultant at the Veterans Business Outreach Centers, joined the Mix to talk about an exciting event happening in May. We talked about what the VBOC is, and how they have made an impact in the lives of veterans since 1996. The Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) serves active-duty personnel, veterans, and military spouses who want to learn more about, then start and grow a small business of their own in the State of Florida. They serve the entire State of Florida, from their headquarters in Panama City at Gulf Coast State College.

Segment 2: Upcoming Workshop titled, "Introduction to Federal Government Contracting."

Event Details

The first week of May is National Small Business Week and the VBOC is doing a workshop to titled, “Introduction to Federal Government Contracting.” The event will take place on Friday, May 6th at 9:30 am. It will be just after the Chamber of Commerce First Friday Meeting. This will take place on the FSU-PC campus, on the second floor of the Holley Building in room B-211. 

The event is presented by the Veterans Business Outreach Program, a partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
