GCSC Partners with Public Eye Soar to Host 2021 Event

“Panama City, FL – In partnership with Public Eye Soar, Gulf Coast State College will host the eighth international projection art festival on the Gulf Coast State College Panama City Campus.

Light, art, and projections will illuminate the Gulf Coast State College campus and community on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 from 6pm-10pm. For these two nights, Panama City will SOAR taller, bigger, and brighter than it ever has as festival goers walk through the largest outdoor public art gallery in the Southeast. Local artists will demonstrate their talent live and building-sized, with art surprises throughout the festival location. This year’s event will see the return of interactive art opportunities for festival attendees to create on-the-spot!

Since 2014, SOAR has featured 400+ living artists from 37+ countries, 6 continents, and has displayed well over 2,500 works of art. SOAR transforms Panama City architecture into a unique wonderland of light, color, and imagination to share art in all its forms in unexpected places and ways to delight, surprise, educate and inspire our community.

This year’s Presenting Sponsors are St. Joe Community Foundation, Gulf Coast State College, Chevron, Bay Arts Alliance, Destination Panama City, and the Charles A. Whitehead Foundation. It is due to the generous support of sponsors that Public Eye Soar is free and open to the public!
