GCSC’s Health Sciences Students to Host Health Fair at No Charge for the Adult Community of Southport

 

“Panama City, FL ­– The students of the Gulf Coast State College Health Sciences Programs will host a Health Fair at no charge on Saturday, July 17, 2021, from 9 am – 1 pm at Dove Church located at 7308 FL Highway 77 in Southport, FL.  The adult community of Southport is invited to participate in a complimentary health fair, including free health services such as glucose testing, diabetes education, vascular sonograms, respiratory and physical therapy assessments, as well as nutritional and health counseling.

 

“At GCSC, we work to enhance the students’ educational experience through interprofessional activities with other health disciplines such as this health screening, which in turn, will promote the health of the Southport community,” said Dr. Randy Chitwood, Coordinator, RN-BSN Program and Professor of Nursing.
