Mike Thompson from Radio Cosmos joined The Mix to talk about Radio Cosmos LIVE which is a brand new show airing on GCSC TV and Comcast cable channel 6. The show will air on Thursday, May 27th at 9 pm and is a spin-off of the Radio Cosmos radio show that Mike Thompson host on Friday nights here on 90.7 WKGC.
The idea to do live performances of local artists doing their original music came about in order to create a platform for artist in the area since there wasn’t a space for it. This was a goal when creating Radio Cosmos for the radio. Mike was able to do a live TV version of his show with the help of Tom Hoots and Calvin Gan from Studio 812 in Lynn Haven.
Because of Covid-19 restrictions, the idea was to record the artist live in Studio 812 until those restrictions are lifted. After that, Mike Thompson plans to move out of the studio and out in front of a live audience. The first season has been wrapped up and they have 5 episodes ready to air starting May 27th at 9 pm.
