City Update from 3/17/19

Attention Lynn Haven Residents: The Health Department is recommending practicing social distancing as a way to minimize the spread of germs and illness. We have implemented the following to help keep both Citizens and staff healthy.

Utility Bills – We are encouraging all residents to utilize the drive thru and drop box for payments of their utilities instead of coming inside the Customer Service Center. There is also the option to pay online, for the full list of options and instructions please visit the City’s website: https://www.cityoflynnhaven.com/. Additionally, if you have elderly neighbors or family members who normally pay their bills in person, please be proactive in offering to deliver their payments to the drop box. #choosekindness

Permits – All permitting applications are on the City’s website https://www.cityoflynnhaven.com/215/Applications-for-Permits. Please utilize these documents and email completed documents to buildingdepartment@cityoflynnhaven.com. The department will be in touch with you when they are received. Contractors can also send in plans by email. If a contractor must drop off plans, a drop box has provided at the front door of the Customer Service Center to submit these plans and you will be notified by email or phone if anything additional is needed to process these plans.

Update on services – All services; Fire, PD, sanitation, water, utility work on roads, construction on city facilities, etc. will continue as scheduled. If you need to speak to any of these departments please call first. Their respective numbers are available on our website: https://www.cityoflynnhaven.com/Directory.aspx. If possible we are recommending only conference call meetings instead of face-to-face meetings with vendors when possible these can be set up by calling the department.

Commission Meetings: The City will hold the next Commission meeting on 3/24/20 at 9 AM. Citizens may either watch it on the City’s Youtube channel accessible here: https://www.cityoflynnhaven.com/376/Videos or may come in person to the Admin Building located at 901 C Ohio Ave to attend the meeting.

We will continue following the Health Department guidelines and will post if any new information is available. Please stay calm during this time, and stay proactive by washing your hands, and implementing other hygiene preventatives such as hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available. Please also follow Governor DeSantis’ advice if you have traveled outside of the country and/or traveled to another state, please be proactive and continue to social distance yourself for a while for the safety of others. #LynnHavenTogetherandStrong
