Registration for Private Property Debris Removal Program has been Extended for City of Panama City

Panama City, Florida – The registration deadline for the City of Panama City’s Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) Program has been extended to July 10, 2019.

The City, in coordination with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), launched the program on February 25, 2019 to assist private property owners in clearing Hurricane Michael-related debris from their properties.

Property owners who need assistance can submit an application which must include:
• Property Owner Participation Form
• Signed and notarized Right-of-Entry Form
• Copy of a valid Florida ID or driver’s license
• Insurance policy, including declaration page and settlement statements, if available
• Documentation of any additional benefits already received including, but not limited to, insurance proceeds, Small Business Administration, or FEMA Individual Assistance.
Owners may submit applications for the program in person at the following locations:

Lake Huntington Club House, 3504 15th Street
Monday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, Closed

Police Substation, 920 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard
Monday – Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, Closed

Under the City’s program, renters / lessees may also be eligible for debris removal if both the renter / lessee and property owner complete an application and provide all required documents, including signed right of entry forms.

Applications to PPDR are subject to the review of the City and FEMA for PPDR eligibility, and all properties will require inspection prior to debris removal. Submission of a PPDR application does not guarantee that the resident will qualify for the City’s PPDR Program. Property owners who have received insurance proceeds or other financial benefits to complete debris removal work on their property will not be eligible for the PPDR Program. Completed applications, including signed right-of-entry forms, constitute a right of access to private property and a hold harmless agreement between the property owner and the City, the State of Florida, and the Federal Government and their respective employees, agents, contractors, and subcontractors.

Owners with questions may contact the PPDR Hotline at (850) 443-2792 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
