Club La Vela Closed for Spring Break 2019

Panama City, Florida – In what has become a hot topic in the Panama City Beach and Bay County community in the last couple years, Spring Break has taken another hit from a popular local business making an announcement. Now, another premiere local establishment has announced it will remain closed through the Spring Break time-frame, due to Hurricane Michael damaged it sustained last year. 

Community Officials have been pushing to change the image of Panama City Beach to a family friendly destination year round. Elected officials in Bay County and Panama City Beach passed a no-alcohol on the “Sandy Beach” for the month of March, and changed alcohol sales in an effort to control the crowds that were getting out of hand.

Last month, Spinnaker Beach Club announced it was changing from a nightclub beach side to “Spinnaker Beachside Grill”, opening sometime this spring.
