Jinks Middle School – Community Thanksgiving

Panama City, Florida – The “Bay High Family of Schools Community Thanksgiving” was held Tuesday from 3-6pm at Jinks Middle School. Bay High School’s Culinary Arts Teacher, Greg Bailie and his students took on the monster task of preparing the food for everyone. Local community chefs also helped bake and cook meals for the event. Thanks to the donations from the community and an anonymous donation via inFaith Community Foundation, Jinks Middle School and Bay High School provided this event for free to the students and families and members of the local community.

In addition to dinner, the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center did provided a brief workshop for parents on the signs and symptoms of post-traumatic stress as well as ways to support children following a natural disaster. Bay High School art teachers Logan Flint and Amanda Hunt conducted an art therapy session for children while their parents attend the GCAC presentation.

The Panama City Downtown Improvement Board provided a stage/PA system for the live musical entertainment by Cori & Kelly and Dockside Remedy.
