ALERT GULF MESSAGE REGARDING BLUE ROOF PROGRAM
They are aware that the Blue Roof Program message is going out on a daily basis. However, there are many residents who are just regaining access to phone and internet that have not been able to get the information until now. Additionally, there are residents who still may not have access and they want to ensure that when they do regain communications that they receive the message and are able to apply for assistance if needed.

DEMOLITION REMINDERS:
If you HIRE a contractor to demolish your home or clear your property, they MUST remove all debris and cannot leave it by the side of the road.

All demolition contractors MUST register with the Gulf County Building Department located at 1000 Cecil G. Costin Sr. Blvd. Registered contractors will be given a comp card. The registration fee is $50.

FREE HOME CLEANUP SERVICES (DEADLINE EXTENDED until November 9)
Residents can call 800-451-1954 for help with home cleanup. All services are free, but service is not guaranteed because of the overwhelming need. This hotline CANNOT assist with social services such as food, clothing, shelter, insurance, or questions about FEMA registration.

FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER OPEN
Two FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers are open from 8a.m – 6p.m. in Gulf County and located at: 
• Gulf County Public Library at 110 Library Drive, Port St. Joe.
• Wewahitchka Information Center, 211 N SR 71, Wewahitchka.

Representatives from the State of Florida, FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and other organizations are at the centers to explain available assistance programs and help connect survivors with recovery resources.

To apply for assistance, you will need the following:
• Social Security number
• Daytime telephone number
• Current mailing address and address and zip code of the damaged property 
• Insurance information, if available. Insurance is not required to receive assistance.

GULF COUNTY COORDINATED TRANSPORTATION is taking appointments this week for anyone in Gulf County who needs transport to medical appointments. GCCT will maintain regular business hours 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. M – F. (850) 229-6550.

GOVERNMENT AND LAW ENFORCEMENT RESOURCES
All court proceedings from 10-10-18 to 10-26-18 were cancelled and will be rescheduled. To get updated information regarding rescheduled hearings or other court proceedings, please visit the Clerk’s Office or contact the office at 850-229-6112 or by email at info@gulfclerk.com.

All Gulf County Tax Deed Auctions scheduled for October 31, 2018 and November 14, 2018 have been cancelled. Revised auction dates are not available at this time.

DISTRIBUTION CENTERS FOR TARPS AND SUPPLIES
Residents needing supplies may go to the following distribution centers:
• Wewahitchka Gym (852 S. Hwy. 71, Wewahitchka), Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon. Closed Sunday. 
• Centennial Building (2201 Centennial Dr., Port St. Joe), Saturday, 2-5 p.m. Closed Sunday.
• Washington Rec Center (401 Peters Rd., Port St. Joe), Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sun: 2-5 p.m.
The centers will be open Monday through Friday, as well. New hours will be posted here when they are confirmed.

Please be sure to separate debris from household trash. Both can be placed at the curb on your property (not in public rights-of-way, such as streets or alleyways). 
**Please be sure not to stow debris or household trash in ditches.
**HOMEOWNERS CAN TAKE HOUSEHOLD WASTE AND STORM DEBRIS TO THE TRANSFER STATION (700 FIVE POINTS ROAD). THERE WILL BE A FEE.

FREE TETANUS AND FLU SHOTS (UPDATED HOURS)
The Florida Department of Health is offering free tetanus and flu shots at its locations in Wewahitchka (807 Highway 22) first and third Friday of the Month. 8a.m. – 4p.m. 
Port St. Joe (2475 Garrison Ave.). Open Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
