WKGC's award winning Sports team consists of  Herman Daniels and Charles Mitchell, both long time sports fans whose love for the game is evident in their announcing.  Long time listeners cherish Herman's sly observations of life on and off the hardwood.

Charlie Mitchell is also a long time contributor to WKGC sports efforts and bring a quiet wit to his play-by-play announcing.  Recently, the "Dynamic Duo", as they are known to their many fans, were named as would-be inductees to the Lower Apalachicola River Basin Basketball Hall of Fame.  The ceremonies are pending recovery of the structure from the Gulf of Mexico where it currently resides after being swept away by Hurricane Earl.
