Listener Powered Radio
It is a complex relationship in which you the Listener, plays an ever more increasing part.  Without your support, both moral and financial, WKGC would not exist in a viable fashion.  WKGC’s annual budget is approximately $500,000 annually. Currently, listener support accounts for about 15% of our annual budget.  In most public radio stations, listener support is about 1/3 of the ststion's annual budget.    These listener dollars are the most important to WKGC.  They allow us to bring you special programming like  NPR’s Performance Today, The Local News with Bill Oberst at Noon, the Emerald Coast Arts Magazine, the Emerald Coast Radio Journal, Adventures in Good Music with Karl Haas, the Metropolitan Opera, and Thistle and Shamrock with Fiona Ritchie.

Listener support makes the difference and we need your support to close the gap between declining federal and state support and our mission to bring you the finest in Public Radio Programming.   Our Underwriters, whose names you hear on the air, also support WKGC, Emerald Coast Public Radio.  They are good friends of the community and we urge you to support them as friends of Public Radio.
