PANAMA CITYBEACH’S FIFTH ANNUAL BALL DROP:

Family celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. in Pier Park, with stilt walkers, mascots, prize zone drawings and live entertainment;

8 p.m. is the Family Beach Ball Drop, with 10,000 inflatable beach balls dropped from the sky;

8:30 p.m. the Countdown Celebration begins with live radio remotes, special appearances, fireworks;

10:45 p.m. is the headliner performance by country music star James Otto; and at midnight, fireworks and New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, featuring an 800-pound glowing beach ball.
