MUSEUM OF FLORIDA HISTORY--3RD THURSDAY EVENT

Event Date: November 21
Event Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: The Museum of Florida History 500 S. Bronough Tallahassee, FL 32399

3rd Thursday at the Museum of Florida History

Live music performed by Eclectic Acoustic begins at 5:00 p.m. The five band members sing and play guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass, and mandolin. Their unique style blends American bluegrass and swing with Canadian and Celtic songs to create an eclectic performance.

At 7:00 p.m. Rick Smith discusses A Land Remembered, the best-selling novel written by his father, Patrick Smith. Published in 1984, the book covers a century of Florida history through the story of the MacIvey family. After migrating from Georgia, they struggled to survive in the harsh, untamed environment of rural Florida. The tale is often required reading in Florida schools.

In November, 101 Restaurant caters for $10 for members and $15 for nonmembers.
