DIABETES AWARENESS: BE FIT AND GLOW!
Event Date: November 15
Event Time: 4:30pm
Location: Carl Gray Park adjacent to Gulf Coast State College, W. Hwy. 98, Panama City, FL.
In honor of World Diabetes Day, the Diabesity Action Team of the Community Health Task Force is sponsoring "Be Fit and Glow!" on Thursday, November 14, 2013. Join us as we walk across Hathaway Bridge and make it glow blue in support of diabetes awareness!
The event will kick off at 4:30 p.m. at the west end of Carl Gray Park next to Gulf Coast State College with a DJ and Zumba instructor to get us warmed up. There will be refreshments, prizes and information on diabetes prevention and management! Free blue T-shirts and goodie bags will be given to all participants while supplies last!
How else can you help? Join a growing list of community partners, including the Florida Department of Health in Bay County, Bay Medical Center-Sacred Heart and Gulf Coast State College, in lighting up your residence or place of business BLUE on November 14th or for the whole month of November! We want Bay County to be on the map with the more than 1,000 buildings and monuments in 80 countries that have been lit in blue for diabetes since 2007!
