4TH ANNUAL WOMEN'S WORK-LIFE SYMPOSIUM

Ladies, save the date for the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce’s 4th Annual Women’s Work-Life Symposium on Friday, June 14th, at Florida State University Panama City’s Holley Academic Center from 7:30-3:00 PM. The Symposium will feature six empowering speakers from across the country where they will address topics beneficial to help women maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Around 200 women will hear three keynote sessions in morning, lunch, and afternoon. Keynote speakers for this year’s event include: Molly Cox, Joan and Bill Martin, and Beth Holloway. Molly Cox is a hilarious presenter speaking on the topic “Lighten Up and Laugh!” As the former director of sales and marketing for two hotels, the general manager of an upscale athletic club and the co-founder of an improv and sketch comedy company, Molly understands business and people. Molly blends her business, education and improvisation background to connect body, mind and spirit to show people how to become more effective professionally and personally and to help people to live a more joyful life. Joan and Bill Martin are the founders of the luxury handbag chain, Brahmin. Brahmin is a family-owned handbag company with design, operations, and manufacturing headquarters in Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Brahmin Leather Works was the entrepreneurial dream of the couple that started the company in 1982. They will share their story on loss, success, and the commitment of hard work. Beth Holloway is the mother of the missing teenager, Natalee Holloway, who disappeared in 2005 on her senior trip to Aruba. Beth will deliver her message of hope, faith, and personal safety.
The Symposium will also feature 3 beneficial Breakout Workshops: Karen Moore, Hollee Temple, and Casey Wohl. Karen Moore, founder and CEO of Moore Communication Group, has conducted media training sessions for Fortune 500 companies, elected officials and the British Olympic Team. Hollee Temple whose topic is “The New Perfect”: Taking Charge of Work/Life is a dynamic speaker who travels the country discussing work/life issues. Casey Wohl’s presentation is “Career Reinvention: Find Your Own Getaway Girl”. Casey is a naturally gifted speaker who went through her own career reinvention and is now inspiring people to find their true passion and “reinvent” themselves both professionally and personally.
Attendees will enjoy a catered breakfast, and lunch and cocktails provided by Boatyard Restaurant. An exhibitor showcase will be featured during the event breaks and continue throughout the evening. Maharajas will be donating a fabulous piece of jewelry for the winner of our Symposium Passport, a contest that each attendee can enter if they visit each business’s exhibitor booth. Each woman will receive a Women’s Symposium Goody Bag filled with fabulous items. Door prizes and giveaways will complete the day with the ultimate Passport Drawing Winner going home with surprise gift. Early bird ticket prices will only be available for a limited time.
